As you all know, on top of being a fantastic teacher, Maya Abou Chedid likes to take us on a little spin every last Friday of each month. On that day she picks a specific theme to explore making it a very special and not to be missed class. Her cyclical way of showing she cares.
This week is all about HONORING THE FIVE TIBETANS – FIVE RITES OF REJUVENATION
Alright! This one is all about leaving you “for a while” with a short invigorating daily practice invoking the “fountain of youth”. Another gateway to an elixir of life.
Obviously, the Himalayan origin of the 5 Tibetans explains their mystical and powerful effects on body and mind. The regular practice provides a vehicle for enlivening the senses and harnessing energy on the path of self-transformation. Oh! And they take 10 minutes of your daily time!
I was lucky to learn The Five Tibetans by the caretaker himself, Chris Kilham and would love to share this ritual as a part of very efficient disciplines that can establish an emanating fountain of youth in all of us! J
“Through practice, I’ve come to see that the deepest source of my misery is not wanting things to be the way they are. Not wanting myself to be the way I am. Not wanting the world to be the way it is. Not wanting others to be the way they are. Whenever I’m suffering, I find this war with reality to be at the heart of the problem.” ~ Stephen Cope
