balanceAs yogis, we seek physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance, however we often objectify this notion of balance by using it as a noun. We say things like I am trying to find balance in my life, when balance in fact is not some static place you can reach. More of an active verb, balance constantly re-balances itself in a moving equilibrium of relationships in every moment. So balancing is not a destination, it is a constant journey. You won’t find it by following a systematic way of living or being, but you will discover it by developing a sensitive awareness that responds and adjusts to the ever shifting moment. In other words instead of seeking to attain balance, you need to learn the art of balancing ~ Danielle Abisaab

Union Square Yoga has made available to you the opportunity to explore these principles with Yoga teacher, dancer and performer Barbi Powers gracing us with her beautiful presence straight from NYC. We’re talking physical benefits of course as it is the bi-product of these workshops, but more important, we think it is you mental, emotional, and spiritual selves that will get the greatest buzz out of this. It’s all in here.
